Salesloft will sunset Drift on January 31, 2027, so you need a replacement live before then, or before your contract ends if that comes first.
Drift keeps the same service level and support until the sunset, so you can keep the chatbot running while you migrate.
Salesloft refers Drift customers to 1mind for chat and allGood for Drift Email. Those referrals may not suit your needs, especially if you want one tool that replaces everything Drift did.
Any Drift data you haven't exported by May 1, 2027 is deleted for good. You can only run exports yourself until your access ends, by the end of January 2027 at the latest, so start exporting now.
Treat the move as a migration project: confirm your contract end date, export your data, and pick a replacement that can run alongside Drift before it switches off.
If you're a Drift customer, you'll have heard about the Drift sunset by now. Drift is being retired as a standalone product and goes dark at the end of January 2027. Your own deadline may come sooner: access ends when your contract does, if that comes first, and any data you haven't exported is permanently deleted in May 2027.
Yes. Salesloft is retiring Drift on January 31, 2027, and Drift Email stops on the same day. Until then, Drift keeps working at its current service level, so it’s not critical to switch off your chatbot early. After that date, the Drift app, chatbot, and Drift Email all stop working.
Date | Milestone |
February 2024 | Salesloft announces its acquisition of Drift |
August 2025 | Clari and Salesloft announce an agreement to merge |
December 2025 | Clari and Salesloft complete the merger |
March 2026 | Clari + Salesloft announces Drift's gradual sunset and a partnership with 1mind |
January 31, 2027 | Drift is retired and stops working |
April 30, 2027 | Offline window for export requests closes (contracts that run past the sunset) |
May 1, 2027 | Unexported Drift data is permanently deleted |
In its Drift Sunset FAQ, last updated September 22, 2026, Salesloft says it would rather focus on one connected platform, its Predictive Revenue System, than keep running Drift as a separate product. It also points to buyers moving away from scripted chatbots toward AI that works across chat, voice, and other formats.
Your existing contract will be honored through your contracted end date, or the sunset date if that comes first, with no changes to billing.
If your contract runs past the Drift shutdown date, your Salesloft account team will contact you to agree options case by case. Check your contract end date to see which case applies to you.
For what Drift cost and what to budget for a replacement, read our Drift pricing guide.
Salesloft has said service and support will stay the same until the sunset date, and it will send reminders as the sunset date gets closer. Expect maintenance only from here.
Drift migration and contract questions should be directed to your Salesloft account manager, especially for any edge cases not covered within the standard documentation. Salesloft's Drift Sunset FAQ is updated as details are confirmed.
Start your exports now, while you can still run them yourself. Until your access ends, you can download spreadsheet exports. Salesloft's October 14, 2025 help article "Drift - Export Drift Data" covers contacts, conversations, routing, meetings, opportunities, playbook metrics, and team activity. Chat transcripts aren't among the documented exports, so ask support how to get them.
Once your access ends, every export becomes a request to your account manager or support, with less control and more back-and-forth. If your contract runs past the sunset date, Salesloft keeps your data offline until the end of April 2027 for those requests. If it ends earlier, request anything you still need before your contract end date. Anything not exported is deleted for good on May 1, 2027.
Three things stop working at the sunset: your website chatbot, Drift Email (Siftrock), and any custom integrations built on the Drift application programming interface (API). Remove the Drift script from your site and replace each one before then.
Check your credentials too. During the 2025 Drift security incident, attackers used stolen OAuth tokens to reach connected Salesforce data. Revoke every stale Drift token or API key in Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, and Slack, and note what each one did before you rebuild it elsewhere.
1mind is the named successor. Clari + Salesloft refers existing Drift customers to 1mind for chat under an exclusive agreement announced on March 6, 2026, and to allGood for Drift Email.
You don't have to take the referral. 1mind is built around AI “superhumans” for your website, your product, and live sales conversations, and its signals flow into Salesloft cadences and Clari forecasting. That is a multi-vendor stack: separate products, built on different architectures, connected through integrations. You can make it work, but you inherit complexity at the moment you are trying to simplify how inbound converts. If a buyer starts a conversation, drops off, and needs re-engaging by email, phone, or text, you are still piecing that together elsewhere.
The question is what you need your front door to do. If your inbound motion depends on conversion coverage across channels, CRM-connected workflows, and control over how you qualify, route, and follow up, compare the platforms carefully. Spara runs complete customer-facing motions across AI Product Demos, chat, email, voice, and text, to anyone in your customer relationship management (CRM) system: it greets buyers on your website, follows up when they drop off, and answers calls in real time. Rho saw a 3.1x increase in form-to-meeting conversion, and Fama a 40% drop in its demo no-show rate, without adding headcount.
Treat this as a migration project with an owner and a date.
Confirm your end date: Your access ends on your contract end date or at the sunset, whichever comes first. That date sets your timeline.
List everything Drift does for you: Playbooks, routing rules, meeting types, email programs, and any custom API work. Anything you don't document gets lost in the move.
Define the outcome you need: Decide what the replacement has to improve, such as meetings booked from website traffic or response time after hours, and judge vendors on that before you compare features.
Export your data: Download lead records, meeting history, and reports yourself, and request chat transcripts from support. Confirm records landed in your CRM, not just in a spreadsheet on someone's laptop.
Map your integrations and credentials: List every connected system and every token, then decide what gets rebuilt, what gets retired, and who revokes access.
Choose a partner who will migrate with you: Ask who rebuilds your playbooks and routing, how long go-live takes, and how results will be measured against your Drift baseline.
Cut over with overlap: Keep Drift live while the new widget handles a traffic slice, then remove the Drift script.
Start now, as the window is narrowing: Migrations slip, and a new tool needs time to ramp before Drift switches off. Begin while you can still export your data yourself and run both tools side by side.
Before you touch anything, baseline your current conversion rate from chat to qualified meeting. Without it, you can't prove the replacement worked.

Judge any Drift replacement, including Salesloft's recommended partners, against the outcome you defined above and the jobs Drift did for you.
What to check | Why it matters for Drift customers | What to ask each vendor |
Channel coverage | Drift covered website chat, with Drift Email alongside it. Replacing one tool with two adds integration work. | Which channels does one agent cover: chat, email, voice, or text messages? |
Email reply handling | Drift Email stops at the sunset. Replies to your campaigns need a new home or they go unanswered. | Can the agent read inbound replies, qualify the lead, and book a meeting inside the thread? |
Qualification you control | Drift playbooks were built and maintained by your team, so qualification logic lived in Drift. | Can you set your own qualification criteria and see why the agent qualified or rejected a lead? |
Routing and booking | Leads have to reach the right rep's calendar while intent is high, including after hours. | Which scheduling and routing tools does it support, and does it book in real time? |
Visitor identification | Knowing which company is on your site shapes who the agent engages and what it says. | How does it identify visitors and enrich lead records before the conversation starts? |
CRM sync | Your Drift history and lead records have to land in your CRM. | Is the sync bi-directional, and does it keep one lead record across channels? |
Security review | You are rebuilding every integration and token anyway, so check how each vendor handles them. | Which permissions does it need, how are tokens stored and rotated, and where is its security documentation? |
Time to go live | Drift switches off on a fixed date, and a two-quarter rollout runs out the clock. | How long from signature to live traffic, and who rebuilds your playbooks and routing? |

See how other teams are succeeding with Spara on the same jobs Drift did:
Mindbody replaced a legacy chatbot and saw a 10.3% lift in conversion from marketing qualified lead (MQL) to sales qualified lead (SQL) versus a control group.
TinyMCE replaced Intercom with Spara, tripled MQL creation, and generates $1 million in pipeline per quarter.
Spara fits mid-market and enterprise B2B teams that already generate demand and lose it in follow-up. If you only need a simple chatbot, Spara is the wrong tool.
Spara has unlimited seats on every plan; what each plan includes is on Spara's pricing page. Technical teams can review the Spara developer documentation and full security documentation in the Spara Trust Center. For Drift customers, Spara offers free migration and matches your Drift contract price, so you can switch without taking on new budget risk.

The sunset sets a fixed deadline, so the migration work happens either way. Confirm your end date, get your exports done, and choose a partner who can get you live before Drift switches off.
